With an increasing number of companies and organizations adopting Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and Portable Coordinate Measurement Machine for manufacturing industry to improve business productivity and work efficiency, it has become more and more crucial to introduce this kind of measurement technology into the field of education and provide students with practical operating experience in the state-of-the-art 3D measurement systems. At present, in the process of talent cultivation for engineering colleges, they have encountered challenges such as limited platform function, insufficient platforms to support students’ innovative consciousness, and teaching staffs with inadequate knowledge reserves due to social isolation, etc. In this context, in order to better adapt to the demands of social development and corporate technology, vocational colleges and many well-known domestic universities have explored new approaches in education and teaching. They are beginning to establish practical teaching bases and demonstrate the courage to shoulder the responsibility for cultivating students’ innovative abilities and comprehensive qualities, strengthening work on building the teaching workforce and promoting the integration of industry and education.
